RACE MAP ADD ON FEATURES
ALL THE ADD ON FEATURES KEEP IN MIND ARE SIMULATED BY THE JB4 APP AND SETTINGS, THIS IS NOT A FLASH TUNE. SOME OF THE FEATURES MIGHT STILL BE IN ITS R&D STAGE. FOR THE FEATURES THAT HAVENT BEEN FULLY TESTED ADD TO YOUR PATTUNED MAP AT YOUR OWN RISK.
We simulate this using precise timing retard, fuel enrichment, and load manipulation via JB4 tuning logic for example
We manipulate the boost curve, fuel delivery, and wastegate duty

Simulation Disclosure
Some advanced features such as Flame, Thunder, and Rolling Antilag are simulated through JB4’s fueling, timing, and boost control strategies.
While extremely effective, these are not standalone ECU reprogramming features — they are safely implemented using JB4's real-time piggyback tuning.
The effect is real. The method is smarter. No flashing required.

Legal: Sound/“flame” behaviors are for off-highway/track/show use only. Check your local laws.
Quick Activation Guides (Driver Technique)
Launch Control / Hard Launch
-
Warm engine & tires. 2) Sport/Dynamic; ESC Sport/Off as desired.
-
1st or 2nd gear (auto: M). 4) Left-foot brake firmly.
-
Tip-in throttle to build pre-boost (per your map notes).
-
Release brake smoothly → roll into WOT. Keep holds short to manage heat.
Brake-Boost for Rolls (Technique)
-
Select a gear that lands ~3–4k RPM at your starting speed.
-
Light left-foot brake; add ~15–30% throttle to pre-spool.
-
Release brake → WOT. Watch IATs in hot weather.
Pops & Bangs / Burbles
-
Sport/Dynamic + manual mode. 2) Exhaust fully hot.
-
Hold 2,500–4,000 rpm, then clean lift-off to trigger overrun. Use short bursts only.
Flame Map (Rolling)
-
Exhaust fully hot (10–15 min spirited drive).
-
In 3rd at ~3k rpm: brisk tip-in, then sharp lift; repeat a few times.
-
Keep sessions brief; allow cool-down.
Stationary Flame
-
Fully warmed engine; AC/electrical loads off.
-
Hold ~2.5–3k rpm and do short blips (1–2 sec).
-
Hard limit: ≤ 5–7 seconds total per demo; long cool-down between demos.
Feature Catalog, Variations, & Limits
OPTIMAL — $50 each
Pops & Bangs / Burbles (Adjustable)
What it does: Tunes overrun behavior for crackles on lift-off.
Variations: Mild / Medium / Aggressive intensity (set per your preference).
Best for: Car-meet/show sound.
Requires: Hot exhaust; catless or sport cats recommended.
Limits & Notes: High EGTs on repeated events; avoid neighborhoods/enclosed areas. Use short bursts.
Flame Map (Rolling)
What it does: Creates conditions for visible flames under controlled rolling scenarios.
Best for: Off-highway video content.
Requires: Catless mandatory, strong ignition, E-blend (E30–E85) or high octane recommended.
Limits: High thermal load; repeated sessions can damage cats (if present), O₂ sensors, exhaust packing, paint/trim.
Stationary Flame
What it does: Enables brief stationary flame demos with precise blip rhythm.
Requires: Catless, hot exhaust, clear area behind the car.
Limits: ≤ 5–7 sec total per demo; long cool-downs; risk to sensors/packing/paint if overused.
Boost-by-Gear
What it does: Sets per-gear boost to improve traction and driveline life.
Variations: Conservative street, balanced sport, or max-traction staging; FWD/RWD commonly taper 1st–2nd.
Best for: Street tires, FWD/RWD builds.
Notes: Great for 60–130 consistency. We’ll revise post-purchase if needed.
Launch Control Optimization
What it does: Pre-boost & torque shaping for repeatable digs.
Variations: 1st-gear or 2nd-gear bias depending on traction.
Requires: Decent tires, healthy mounts/brakes.
Limits: Avoid long brake-boost holds to control heat.
Ethanol Blend Optimization (E20–E85)
What it does: Calibrates timing/boost to your exact ethanol percentage.
Variations: E20/E30/E40/E50/E60/E70/E85 presets or custom; includes knock-aware timing strategy.
Requires: Blended fuel measured/consistent; log verification recommended.
Notes: More ethanol generally = cooler charge, more timing headroom, within fueling limits.
Temperature-Triggered Power Trim
What it does: Smoothly tapers power as IAT/coolant climb to protect hardware and maintain consistency.
Variations: Street-biased or track-biased thresholds.
Best for: Hot climates, back-to-back pulls, track days.
Throttle Response Tuning
What it does: Refines pedal mapping for sharper or smoother response.
Variations: “Crisp Sport” or “Smooth Sport” profiles.
Notes: Improves drivability and control; does not change WOT power.
Data Logging & Review Pack
What it does: Structured logging recipe + pro analysis (Boost, RPM, AFR, IGN1, water temp) with clear recommendations.
Includes: Log checklist, 3–5 WOT pull recipe, and a feedback pass so you know what to tweak next.
ADVANCED — $100 each
WMI Integration (Water-Methanol)
What it does: Adds charge cooling and effective octane to support higher safe boost and knock resistance.
Variations: Nozzle sizing, start/stop thresholds, failsafe strategy; typical 50/50 mix.
Requires: Quality WMI kit, correct jets, reliable fluid mix, failsafe wiring.
Safety: Meth-failsafe boost cut where supported; verify operation before hard use.
Limits: Frozen lines, clogged jets, or empty tank can be dangerous—maintain diligently.
MPI Integration & Fuel Scaling (Multi-Port Injection)
What it does: Adds supplemental fueling beyond DI limits for smoother trims at higher load.
Variations: Injector size scaling, blend ratio with DI, onset thresholds.
Requires: Properly installed MPI hardware/controller and platform support.
Notes: Enables higher power on E-mix/race fuel within HPFP/LPFP limits.
NOS Safety Overlay (Nitrous Compatibility) — Early Access
What it does: Conservative timing/boost logic to accommodate dry/wet kits with a safety-first approach.
Requires: Correct hardware, window switch, WOT arming, bottle heater, verified fuel quality, and failsafes.
Status: By review only; limited release pending additional testing.
Limits: Incorrect setup can cause severe engine damage—use only with a vetted system.
Octane Booster Calibration (e.g., VP Octanium)
What it does: Tunes ignition/boost around your exact treat rate and base fuel.
Variations: 91+Octanium, race fuel + Octanium, or E-mix + Octanium combinations.
Requires: Use one product consistently (we prefer VP Octanium). Provide bottle size, gallons treated, and fuel base.
Notes: Do not stack boosters. We’ll verify IGN1/knock behavior in logs and adjust.
Limitations & Discretion
-
Results vary by vehicle health, weather, altitude, tires, and surface. Numbers shown anywhere are estimates.
-
High-heat features (pops/bangs/flames, brake-boost, repeated launches) accelerate wear on exhaust packing, O₂ sensors, and can affect turbine/catalyst longevity.
-
If any safety system triggers (meth failsafe, temp trim, knock control), back off and contact us for review.
-
We reserve the right to decline or detune features if your hardware or logs indicate risk.
Legal & Safety Disclaimers
-
Pops/bangs/flames are for off-highway/track/show use only and may violate emissions/noise laws. Use responsibly.
-
PatTuned is not responsible for misuse, operation on public roads where prohibited, incorrect fuel, poor hardware condition, or ignored prerequisites.
-
Tuning may void or affect manufacturer warranties. Proceed at your own risk.
